The WhiskeyDicksThese Celtic-Gypsy-Punk-Rockers have a reputation for delivering a raging good time, with something up their sleeve for every music lover. From original good-time songs to familiar tunes, you’ll be up and dancing in a heartbeat (if you can find room on the dance floor). The band bridges traditional and modern popular music with an eclectic and contagious enthusiasm that knows no bounds. They began playing in front of a Liquor Store (hence their name), and with nearly a dozen music degrees under their collective belt, band members have taken what they learned both on the street and at uni and brought it to the stage to create something special. The instrumentation is simple: violin, cello, guitar, drums and vocals – but their music mixes and combines influences that simply galvanizes audiences to dance! |

Halifax Wharf RatsThe Halifax Wharf Rats aren't your common everyday Celtic band. Brian Flanagan, Michelle Carlisle, Rick Chapman and Robert Graves are exactly the kind of folks you'd want to invite home for a kitchen party, a barbecue or to meet the family. With loads of Celtic and East Coast tunes along with contemporary music and good times in store, it's always best to come early and stay late when they’re around – just like they do “down home”. We won't go into each individual musician’s multiple talents; their music speaks for itself. Come and hear! |
