Jade Dragon Pirates

Join the Jade Dragon Pirates as they demonstrate what is needed to survive on their ship. An entertaining show that will delight all ages, volunteers will be “liberated’ from the audience and taught the fine art of being a pirate. This is a chance to get in touch with your inner Captain Jack!

King Henry VIII & Queen Catherine of Aragon

If you see King Henry VIII and Queen Catherine of Aragon walking around CelticFest, you are not imagining things. Just prepare to bow or curtsey as they pass by. The royals will be escorted by some of the residents of the Village of Steller's Grove (BC Renfest's “village”). Don't be afraid to approach them and introduce yourself, but make sure to accord them due respect, especially if you envisage a title in your future!

Bad to the Bow

Under the musical direction of Chelsea Sleep,
Bad to The Bow is a group of 25 school-aged fiddlers with parents and community volunteers making up the accompaniment section on bass, cello, piano, guitar, penny whistle and percussion.
