THURS Mar 13 Crawl: Finale:
|
The Battle of The BardsA fast-paced tour of Vancouver’s finest Celtic pubs gets an added blast of fun and frolic when it’s combined with the ultimate literary experience: a head-to-head poetry face-off featuring the most famous Celtic writers! Inspired in part by the famous Dublin Literary Pub Crawl, three actors in costume will take on the roles of Dylan Thomas (Damon Calderwood), Robbie Burns (Todd Wong) and William Butler Yeats (Mark Downey), to perform some of the great works that have ensured them the highest place in the Celtic literary canon. Not only will these three brilliant poets be meeting up in the same rooms, they’ll face off against each other in a climactic finale modeled after the hugely popular spoken word poetry slams. Hosted by Ravishing Rhonda. Finale features Fiddler Elise Boeur and DJ Michael Louw. |
